Nancy P. Tisdall, JD
Nancy Tisdall serves as Special Counsel to Miles & Peters, PC.
Ms. Tisdall represents various health care providers, including skilled
nursing facilities, HMOs, and their ownership groups. Ms. Tisdall's
practice focuses on Medicare/Medicaid reimbursement, financial fraud
defense, institutional licensing, and regulatory compliance. Ms. Tisdall
also practices in the area of professional licensing, counseling
and
representing nursing home administrators, nurses, psychologists, physical
therapists, and other professionals threatened with disciplinary action.
Ms. Tisdall has been counsel of record in more than ten reported cases from
the Colorado and Federal appellate courts. She lectures on various issues in
health care and elder law, including advance directives, patient rights (including
patient transfer and discharge issues), admission agreements, patient autonomy,
and managed care contracting. Ms. Tisdall was a member of the coalition organized
by the Colorado Hospital Association to prepare materials to enable health
care providers to meet their legal obligations with respect to advising patients
about advance directives.
